Happy August! The summer is flying by, and some schools are already posting their welcome back messages to students. I really enjoy learning about the stories that make everyone unique. My own unique story started as early as I can remember in foster care in the state of Wisconsin. We were adopted when I was nine and that was such a huge blessing. Prior to the adoption, my siblings and I were in two separate foster homes, but the family adopted all of us and reunited us in the same place.
My adoptive parents worked hard to provide us with a great life and helped provide a stable environment for growth. My father worked in law and my mother a nurse. They both valued education and pushed each of us to pursue college and careers. I am so thankful for the opportunities they provided us and their hard work to help each of us succeed.
During our years growing up, we had the opportunity to remain close to our foster parents. During my freshman year of high school I was able to meet my biological mother again, but for the first time of really getting to know her. I am so amazed at how God works things out for good in spite of the circumstances. One of the most special times in my life occurred on the day of my wedding here in Maine when all three of my “moms” were in attendance at my wedding. I treasure the pictures of the four of us together and realize how fortunate I have been.
My wife, Tammy, and I are celebrating 26 years of marriage. We have four children and are living the dream in Bradford. We look forward to serving this community for many years and have a desire to help people achieve the dreams they have. We welcome all customers and look forward to meeting each of you.
